As it dawns on Mother’s Day I have written a simple poem for my Mother.
Although I have already sent her a Mother’s Day Card, I want to send this poem to her today as a token of my love and appreciation for everything that she has done for me. She has been one of the greatest influences in my life and so in part, I am my mother!
She carried me in her womb
She carried me in her arms
She carries me in her prayers
She carries me in her heart
I carry her in my being
Now, I carry my daughters…
Happy Mother’s Day!

Hello you darling blogger you. Thank you for the wonderful poem. I’m thinking one day you and your siblings will carry me in my old age and in your hearts and minds when I go to Heaven to be with Jesus.
Love, Mom
Hello Mom,
I am so happy that you enjoyed the poem. Simple words but the memories we cherish in the carrying are profound!
I love you Mom, and pray that God leaves you with us for decades still. You are not THAT old!
I love you!
Michele
Okay, Michele – I came to tell you what a beautiful poem that was and then your Mom REALLY got me with her comment to YOU! So sweet – and your Mom was a GORGEOUS bride! I hope you BOTH had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Barbara,
Thank you! Mom’s do that to us don’t they? My Mom is in Oregon so we must cherish even more the memories of the time we spend together. Fortunately, she was just down last month for a family wedding.
My Mother’s Day was phenomenal. I am blessed with the best two daughters on the planet. They really teach me more than I could ever teach them, but I know that I have a huge responsibility educating them to be beautiful young ladies.
How was your day Barbara?
Thanks again for stopping by and commenting! Hope to meet you in person soon!
Warmly,
Michele
Awww, I’m so happy to hear you had a wonderful day – I can’t wait to hear more about your daughters! I’m looking forward to our lunch date next week – fun, fun! Take care!
