Sharing the Postage Stamp Project
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of sharing the postage stamp project with my networking group. I started by handing out two colored envelopes with stamps already affixed. I asked them to write their return address on the envelope right away. I then proceeded to share with them how sending cards is an effective method of follow up, that the majority of business people are not using. If done right you can have differentiation for under a buck.
I had a hand out with ideas for sending cards to people beyond the obvious birthdays and holidays.

Some people shared the last time they had received a card and how it made them feel. One person even volunteered the incredible power of using handwritten cards to boost sales, citing a personal example as well as that of Joe Girard, a famous car salesman who wrote cards to his clients on a monthly basis. He holds a record for being the number one salesman in the country for over 10 years.
I am sending out cards today to the people in my uLinkNetwork networking group, and because some don’t list their address on their website because the business is home based, I will just have to send their card to the address where we meet every two weeks. One must get creative!
Dr. Jared Thomas is the chiropractor of the group with Thomas Chiropractic. He speaks of restoring the body to its proper function. I have visited his office multiple times and I can proudly say that he is the first chiropractor that I have used where I don’t get a headache after the adjustment.
Ashish Arya is the dentist of Whitney Oaks Dental. He says, “Some call me a dentist, but what I do is beautify your smile!”

Doug Fitzsimmons is the computer specialist of our group with Pinnacle Computer Care. He cleaned up my computer and it is running smoother than ever. Check out his website/blog for great tips to release your inner computer nerd.
