100 Stamps 100 Days-Day 10

100 Stamps in 100 Days – Day 10
Postage Stamp Project

“100 stamps in 100 days” daily happy mail campaign and blog! I will be making an effort to send out at least 100 cards/letters over the next 100 days and blogging it. Encouraging a return to written correspondence!

Tuesday March 22, 2011

Today I was treated to lunch by my friend Cindee. We went to Paul Martin’s Bistro in Roseville and split a Bistro Burger with bacon and cheese, and a generous side of fries. Delicious! Then we went to Bloom for coffee. I love their mocha (iced or hot) ~ chocolatey coffee, but not too sweet.
I’m not sure what I did to deserve to be treated, but it most definitely calls for a handwritten Thank You note! And next time, I’ll pick up the tab!

My second stamp is a farewell to Meredith, another friend at work. She has found another opportunity to expand her professional horizons and continue to develop her amazing talents. I’ll miss her sweet light-filled personality!

I received my first response in the mail today at my PO Box. I have had other great responses via email and in-person, but I was pretty excited to pull an envelope out of my 3 x 5.5 inch slot at the Post Office. And it was from Bob Burg, author of The Go Giver. You’ll recall from Day 2 that I connected with him on Twitter and decided to send him a card.

My husband also received his card in the mail today at work. See Day 4. The interesting thing is that he sent me an email with such sweet sentiment in it before the mail came and then followed up with another email saying that he had received my card. If I may quote him, he said, “Hi Honey, I was just reading your e-mail,right now when I received the mail and it was your letter, this is a great feeling , I love you”
Wow, that made my day! I love you too Honey!

By sheer coincidence, my Amazon shipment arrived today with a copy of Bob’s book The Go Giver, that I had purchased for my husband. I couldn’t have planned this blog post if I had tried!!

Stay tuned: 90 days to go!
