100 Stamps 100 Days-Day 4

100 Stamps in 100 Days – Day 4
Postage Stamp Project

“100 stamps in 100 days” daily happy mail campaign and blog! I will be making an effort to send out at least 100 cards/letters over the next 100 days and blogging it. Encouraging a return to written correspondence!

Wednesday March 16, 2011

Do you only send cards to your significant other on holidays? Flowers only on Valentine’s Day or your Anniversary? Today I decided to send out only one letter and I wrote it to my husband. And I sent it to his work address. No flowers this time, although I think men LOVE to receive flowers too. I know it’s really going to make my husband’s day when he receives this letter expressing to him my love and devotion!

Are there better relationships to nurture and develop than those closest to you? How often, are these the very ones we take for granted. I encourage you go out of your way to show your love and appreciation today to the people that matter most to you.

On another note, I received my first response in my postage stamp project. Yesterday I sent a Thank You to a friend at work who had surprised me with a beautiful potted phalaenopsis orchid for my new desk at work. I was just promoted and moved to a different part of the office. My friend’s thoughtfulness was very touching. It may seem silly to send something through the mail, when I could have walked the “Thank You” over to her, but her response is worth so much more than a postage stamp!

[Michele,] I just received your thank you note.  You are so sweet!  It was my
absolute pleasure.  I love meeting great people in this life who are very special
and extraordinary.  You are most certainly one of them!  Thank you for
the kindness and helpfulness that you extended me even from those first
initial meetings when I was interviewing.  You are a great soul that just
accomplished a great thing! Have a great day & yes, lunch soon!

Stay tuned: 96 days to go!
